Flames of War: St Lo - the 119th US IR vs Panzer Lehr Part 1

The 119th US Infantry have 8 turns to seize one of the two objectives for a win...

D-Day American Command Cards:

30th Infantry Division Old Hickory: Motivation for Last Stand 3+ Rally 4+

P-47 2000lb Bomb Load: AT4 FP2+

Desert Veterans: M10 TD Skill 3+

D-Day Waffen SS Command Cards

(Not Weapons-SS I know but Panzer Lehr were, as a demonstration unit, exceptionally well trained)

The best infantry: Motivation 3+ Hit on 4+ Skill 3+

To reflect the German defensive tactics of forward strongpoints backed up by deep defences:

Machine Gun Nests and Pakfront cards, allowing these elements to act independently and be concealed and well dug-in, so that Firepower tests to destroy them must be re-rolled.

We'll leave the 119th while they regroup under cover after having bumped Panzer Lehr - they have 3 more moves to take one or other objective. To be resumed...

  3. Very impressive there, on so many different levels! I do love looking at the WWII maps of Normandy and the varied terrain that was fought over. Keep up the good work:).
