Great looking game. The mat is perfect and also makes the figures standout that bit more. Most impressive. Talavera is one that fairly often results in a changed result, since players can coordinate the French forces better than in the historical action. No Spanish here though? They played such a crucial role, on both flanks. Regards, James
Thanks James! Yes you are quite right about the Spanish being evident on both flanks, and pretty useful too, infantry, cavalry and guns, on the northern flank. Unfortunately I don't yet have the models to do them justice....
Engrossing battle report of a great game. Though ahistorical, it's a relief to see British lines are not overpowered in Lasalle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Caesar! Yes I agree the rules strike a really good balance. British firepower can be overwhelming, but not always...
DeleteGreat BATREP and great looking game. I haven't played the latest version of Lasalles- I might give it a go!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much John. Yes I heartily recommend Lasalle II!
DeleteGreat looking game, looked very close as these things go.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate, yes it was close - the difficulty in batreps is knowing what to leave out - and I left out a lot of swings and roundabouts!
DeleteFantastic looking game, nice work! Love the mass in the units.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate!
